*All Platforms
To view and use the new streamlined "Modern" theme,
your display monitor should be set to display
thousands of colors. For users who cannot set their
displays to use more than 256 colors, Netscape
recommends using the "Classic" theme for
Netscape 6.2.
To select the Classic theme after you have installed
Netscape 6.2:
1. Open the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
2. Under the Appearance category, choose Themes.
3. Click to select the Classic theme.
4. Click the Apply Classic button, then click OK.
Changed themes take effect after you restart
Netscape 6.2.
During installation, the creation of temporary files
requires more free disk space than listed below.

or G4

Installation Notes
======================================================
- For Mac OS and Windows users, it is strongly
recommended that you exit all programs before running
the setup program. Also, you should temporarily
disable virus-detection software.
- Install into a clean (new) directory. Installing on
top of released product builds may cause problems.
- The Profile Manager lets you create different
profiles, each with its own bookmarks, preferences,
email settings, and other user-specific settings. To
work with profiles, you must first exit the browser,
then open the Profile Manager:
* On Windows, open the Start menu and choose
Programs, then Netscape 6, then Profile Manager.
* On Mac OS, open the Netscape folder and then
double-click the Profile Manager.
* On Linux, type the following at the command
line:
./netscape -profilemanager
For more information, choose Help and Support Center
from the Help menu in the browser and click Managing
Profiles.

Installation Instructions
======================================================
*Installation Instructions -- Windows
1. If you are installing from the CD:
- Double-click the Windows directory on the
Netscape 6.2 CD to open it, if you haven't done
so already.

in memory, and you enable Quick Launch during
installation, you have the option in Netscape
to temporarily or permanently disable Quick
Launch. For more information about using Quick
Launch, see the section "Using Quick Launch" in
the Help and Support Center. (In Netscape, click
on Help and select Help and Support Center.)

automatically, you must expand the file using a
program such as StuffIt Expander. If you don't
have StuffIt Expander, you can get a copy by
visiting:
http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/expander_mac_login.html
Note: For the Mac OS X version of Netscape
